Christmas Monster
Posted On: December 22, 2009

Look who has been keeping me company in my sewing room...but it's time for him to go now.
My 10 year old daughter made herself one of these adorable monster dolls from McCalls Patterns a couple of months ago and when we were over at my brothers house for tea one day, my 4 year old niece fell in love with it so I made her one for Christmas. Since I’m pretty certain that my niece doesn’t spend her days perusing ‘aunty debbie’s” website for the sheer entertainment value, I thought it would be safe to post a photo before Christmas (which is only 3 days away now!!!) Here is her monster doll. He actually turned out pretty darn cute if I do say so myself!

Merry Christmas!
Posted On: December 6, 2009

Merry Chistmas everyone!
Once again I find myself apologizing to my faithful readers for not posting anything substantial in far too long! Please be patient with me. This past 4 months have been spent finishing up some long overdue sewing items for others (us sewers know how daunting that is!) as well as trying to build a stock of handmade gifts that I am eventually going to add to the boutique side of my site. It's been a bit of a process with the pattern development and the number of trials before I can get something right.
Starting a home business does not mean that I am going to stop sewing for myself and posting tutorials for those of you have requested them. It just means that you need to be patient with me for another month or so while I get all my business stuff sorted out, get other peoples sewing out of my studio and then move on to me!
I hope you all continue to check back. Have a lovely holiday no matter what you celebrate! Can't wait for a productive 2010 sewing year!!
